Vedran Naglić was born on June 18, 1983 in Sisak, where he completed primary and secondary school (General High School Sisak). He graduated in 2010 from the Faculty of Kinesiology, University of Zagreb where he got his PhD in 2022. He began his coaching career at the Basketball Club Dubrava (First Croatian Basketball League), Basketball Club Zrinjevac (Second Croatian Basketball League), and worked for six years in the Croatian Basketball Federation as a fitness and basketball coach for youth teams  (from U14 to U20), as and with the Croatian basketball A team (during preparations for Eurobasket 2015, as strength and conditioning coach). He continued his career in Football Club Zagreb (First Croatian Football League), where he spent four years and won the title in the second legaue, which promoted Football Club Zagreb to the First Croatian Football League.
After Zagreb Football Club, he went to Football Club Sheriff Tiraspol (1st Moldova legaue), Football Club Adanaspor (1st Turkey Super Lig) and Football Club Rudeš, Football Club Olimpija Ljubljana (First Slovenian Football League), Croatian Football Club Rijeka (First Croatian Football League). Since 2019, he has been a strength and conditioning coach in the Croatian Football Federation in the under 21 football team (U21), where he participates in the U21 European Championship 2021 and successfully qualifies for the U21 European Championship 2023.

He obtained his UEFA B football license at the Academy of the Croatian Football Federation. He is the vice-president of the organizational and program committee of the international conference Physical conditioning of athletes and the business secretary of the Croatian Strength and Conditioning Association. As an external associate, he teaches at the Faculty of Kinesiology, University of Zagreb.
